Rema Donates N150 Million to Christ Embassy

Rema

Nigerian musical star Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, has made a generous donation of N150 million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin City, Edo State.

Rema, who was in Edo State to celebrate Edo@33 and perform at the groundbreaking ceremony of the 6,000-capacity Edo Dome and a concert at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, decided to give back to the church that supported his family during a tough period in his childhood.

The artist explained that the donation was a way of showing gratitude for the church’s role in his life, particularly after his father’s death when he was eight years old. Rema recalled how Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas helped his family by opening a shop for his mother, which provided for them during a time of hardship.
