Dr. Crystal Akpan, a resident medical doctor working with the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), has reportedly committed suicide.

Daily Report Nigeria understands that Dr. Akpan took his life by ingesting a chemical substance suspected to be Sniper.

While reason behind the action of the deceased is still unknown, suggestions have been made that the Dr. Akpan may have taken his life for failing his professional examination for residents.

The late medical practitioner is said to have taken the examination without success for a couple of years.

Dr. Akpan worked in Cardiology Department of the hospital and was married with three kids.
