Sitting alongside former NHIS executive secretary, Prof. Yusuf Usman, he added, “It’s only the North that can rescue itself. Northerners must wake up and caution themselves.”
He also warned against selfish and divisive politicians and lamented the region’s worsening situation, comparing it to the security challenges before the Buhari era.
The former adviser declared that no politician should expect blind loyalty from the North, saying, “There is no politician that would come and dictate to us the direction to follow. Who are you?” He insisted that candidates must present practical solutions to the North’s challenges.
