In a statement by the Special Assistant on Media to the Governor of Rivers State, Kelvin Ebiri, some of the suspected hoodlums were said to be already in custody of the police.
However, Farah Dagogo, through his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ibrahim Lawal, condemned the arrest directives placed on the aspirant.
According to Lawal, the order was aimed at stopping Dagogo’s governorship screening scheduled for Thursday (today.)
Lawal added that the directive for the arrest of Dagogo violates the spirit of Section 14 and 33 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (As amended).
