Rivers LG Poll: Voting Disrupted as Armed Men in Police Uniform Storm Polling Unit

Armed men dressed in police uniform stormed the Elekahia Primary School in Port Harcourt City Local Government, disrupting the voting process and causing pandemonium.

The men arrived in 21 Hilux Patrol Vans, firing tear gas and seizing election materials, forcing officials and voters to flee for their lives.

“It was like a war zone,” said an eyewitness. “The armed men were shooting tear gas everywhere, and people were running for their lives.”

The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, claimed ignorance of the incident. “I’m not aware. You are just telling me now,” she said.

The situation has created tension in the area, with many wondering about the motivations behind the armed men’s actions.

No official statement has been released by the authorities, but an investigation is expected to be launched into the matter.
