Rivers University Suspends Lecturer For Impregnating Student

A lecturer identified as Dr Rowland Uchechukwu Igwe, of the Sociology Department of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), has been suspended by the institution’s Management for alleged sexual harassment and also impregnating a female student.

The lecturer had allegedly sexually harassed and intimidated the said student before impregnating her.

While the suspension was confirmed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, through a released statement on his media account, he disclosed that the victim (said student) suffered health complications due to the pregnancy.
