Robbers suspected to be Fulani in the early hours of Wednesday, November 3, attacked Nuku village in the Kaiama Local Government, Kwara State, leaving the villagers with tears.
According to eyewitnesses the robbers who came in search of money became furious as nothing was on the ground for them to steal, Angered by the turnout of events, they reportedly inflicted severe injuries on the residents.
They also abducted and raped two girls (minors) who were later released to the community.

An eyewitness said;
“They invaded the community in the early hours of Wednesday. They were asking for money but were angry because they found nothing after they ransacked the whole place.
“Alhaji Hassan Yunusa Woru, the Head of the family, and one Woru Yunusa, his brother, were wounded in the process.”
Babawale Zaid Afolabi, the spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, confirmed the incident.
