Ronaldo Nazario believes that Vinicius Jr is already deserving of the 2024 Ballon d’Or. The Brazilian legend stated that Vinicius has outshined competitors like Manchester City’s Rodri, England’s Jude Bellingham, and Spain’s Dani Carvajal in the race for the prestigious award.
Ronaldo, who won the Ballon d’Or twice himself, expressed confidence that his compatriot will take home the trophy.

Ronaldo Nazario had an exceptional season with Real Madrid, scoring 24 goals and providing 11 assists in 39 matches across all competitions.
While Rodri and Carvajal also had remarkable seasons, with Rodri playing a key role in Manchester City’s Premier League title and Carvajal helping Real Madrid secure both the Champions League and La Liga titles, Ronaldo emphasized Vinicius’s impact.
Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Ronaldo said, “I think Viní already deserves it [the Ballon d’Or]. He’s had a spectacular Champions League, a spectacular La Liga, and he’s been evolving more and more. I remember when he first arrived at Real Madrid, and I’ve stayed in touch with him. Watching his development has been incredible. I think his time has come. He’s been extremely decisive this year for Real Madrid. For me, today he’s the best player in the world by far.”
