BREAKING: FIFA, UEFA Suspend all Russian Football Teams

Union of European Football Associations, UEFA and Federation of International Football Association, FIFA have banished all Russian football teams from international football.

All Russian football teams have been so barred from international football for a no definite length.

The ban’s a result of the Russian’ invasion on Ukraine since last week Thursday.

That is to say, Russia which hosted the last World Cup would not be made to participate in this latest edition of the tournament (2022 World Cup).

Meanwhile, UEFA have also terminated their £40million-a-year sponsorship with the country’s majority state-owned multinational energy corporation, Gazprom.

The governing bodies which organised the UEFA Champions League have been enormously persuaded after by members and politicians to take measures against Russia following their incursion.

During the weekend, Poland refused to play their World Cup qualification match with Russia following its raid on Ukraine.

Also, the FA and Scottish FA had said that they would not play against Russian sides at any level for the inevitable future.
