Salah Shines in Manchester United’s Abysmal 5-0 Loss to Liverpool

Liverpool continues their unbeaten run with a second consecutive 5-0 away win in a row, with the first against Watford last week

Mohamed Salah stood out as Liverpool beat the hell out of arch-rivals, Manchester United on Sunday evening at the Old Trafford.

The Egyptian forward who is currently on top of his form has contributed four goals in The Reds’ 5-0 victory over Ole Gunner Solksjaer’s men.

Recall he also did wonderfully well in last league match against Watford having provided one assist and scoring a goal.

The 29-year-old hence followed it up by producing another genius moment against United as he scored a hat trick with one assist.

That reckoning up to scoring in his 10th consecutive matches.

What a brilliant display that is!

United who headed into Sunday’s fixture after a 3-2 comeback against Atalanta in the midweek succumbed to an early opening goal from Naby Keita.

The assist was provided by Salah who scored the last three goals after Diogo Jota has doubled his side’s lead through T. Arnold’s assist in the 13th minute.

Salah first scored in the 38th minute before his second goal came in the last minute of the first half.

He scored his third and Liverpool’s 5th goal in the 50th minute through J. Henderson’s assist.

Paul Pogba of Manchester United also got sent off the field following receipt of a direct red card at the hour mark.

Prior to that, Cristiano Ronaldo had a goal chalked off for offside in the 52nd minute.

The result has thereby moved Salah’s sides near the top of the table at the 2nd spot with just one point below Chelsea who top the table with 22 points.

The hosts on the other hand, are clouded from being title contenders in the same way bountiful pressure has been heaped on Solskjaer.

The loss has caused Manchester United to drop to 7th spot with 14 points in 9 league matches so far.
