Samklef Reveals He Nearly Asked Out Simi, But Chose to Keep It Professional

Producer-turned-blogger Samklef shared why he didn’t pursue a romantic relationship with singer Simi, even though he had feelings for her when they were both up-and-coming artists.

Samklef admitted that he was tempted to ask Simi out after she broke up with one of her exes, but he ultimately decided against it because he wanted to keep his personal and professional lives separate.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, he explained:

“I [love emoji] Simi. I almost asked her out o! When she broke up with her ex, Lekan for experience that year. But I had to keep it professional, make e for no spoil business…Adekunle help me greet your wife for me. Life is not that deep.”

In another post, Samklef claimed that Simi’s family treated him poorly despite all that he had done for her. He wrote,

He wrote, “But Simi family show me pepper sha. After everything I do for her…I don forgive dem. That him over sabi brother where him dey self?”

Simi is now married to fellow musician Adekunle Gold, and they have a daughter named Adejare.
