The witness also claimed that on election day, some All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters beat him up, which was refuted by INEC’s attorney Charles Edosomwan (SAN) during cross-examination.

He said:

I am not a member of the Labour Party but I was assigned as an agent. When the APC thugs recognised me as an LP agent, they beat me up. They also said if voters did not vote for APC, they would beat them too.”

When asked by the governor and his deputy’s attorney, Muiz Banire (SAN) to describe how he was beaten, the witness said:

During casting of votes, four of them beat me up. I ran away, changed my clothes to disguise myself and came back to monitor the counting of votes.”

Additionally, he mentioned instances of allegedly multiple voting in which INEC officials allegedly kept mum.

He said:

I observed more than 3-4 people voting more than once at the polling unit. INEC staff conducted the elections, though they looked the other way when this was going on.”

The witness revealed that a total of one hundred and twenty-six people were accredited at the polling unit where Governor Sanwo-Olu cast his vote while responding to questions from APC’s legal representative, Abiodun Owonikoko (SAN).

He insisted that the APC received one hundred and twenty-one votes while the Labour Party received just two.
