Sarkodie Denies Feud with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy

Sarkodie

Popular Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has denied having any feud with Nigerian Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The controversy began when Sarkodie claimed in his latest song, “Brag,” that he had been in the music industry before Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy. This sparked tension, leading to former Davido signee Dremo and Sarkodie’s signee Lyrical Joe releasing diss tracks against each other.

Addressing the issue in an interview with RODE, Sarkodie clarified that his mention of Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy was only to highlight his own longevity in the industry. He emphasized that if he were aiming to take jabs, he would target rappers, not singers.

He said: “Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido would never think I want to jab them because if I want to jab somebody, it has to be rappers. They are not rappers.

“I am just talking to rappers about how long I’ve been there and who else is best to use as reverence? Everybody knows Wizkid, Burna Boy, Black Sheriff, Asake and Davido. And it’s true that I was in the industry before they all came in. It’s just references of how long I’ve been there. It’s not throwing jabs at anybody. These are incredible, amazing artists.”
