SBN Coordinator, Solomon Ikpaka Bags Award of Excellence | Daily Report Nigeria

The leadership of Alabini National Youth Council (ANYC) has presented an award of excellent performance to the national coordinator of Safe and Better Nigeria (SBN), Comrade Solomon Charles Ikpaka.

Ikpakpa was presented the award during a one-day summit tagged Vision for Greatness with the theme ‘The Agents of Change for the Global Goal’ which held in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Speaking during the presentation, the president of ANYC, Comrade Thank-God Funkepere, said Ikpaka, through his nongovernmental organization, the Safe and Better Nigeria, has contributed immensely to the growth of communities in the Niger Delta.

He said the award was meant to show appreciation to what SBN has been doing since its formation – to encourage them and other groups to do more in their quest for a more conducive society.

In his response, Ikpaka expressed thanks to God for bringing the activities of SBN to limelight to the admiration of well-meaning individuals who have come to identify with the good works they’ve done within this period.

He said, “First of all, I want to give thanks to God Almighty for this award because he is the inspiration behind the Safe and Better Nigeria (SBN) which we’ve been using to reshape the society in the little way we can – based on our capacity.”

“It is really encouraging to see that the society is pleased with the little efforts we’re making to make our communities better and safer.”

“And so, on behalf of myself and the entire members of SBN, we want to say a big thank you to Alabini National Youth Council Worldwide for this recognition which will serve as a morale booster,” he stated.

The SBN Coordinator also described the recognition as not just an award, but a call to greater service to humanity.

He vowed that he and his team will do more to improve the quality of living standard in the Niger Delta.
