Selena Gomez, 32, shared that her medical issues, including a lupus diagnosis in 2013 and a kidney transplant in 2017, pose significant risks to both her and the baby’s health. She described coming to terms with this reality as a difficult and emotional process.

The actress admitted that this is the first time she has publicly discussed this aspect of her health. Despite these challenges, Gomez expressed her desire to have children and her appreciation for alternatives like surrogacy and adoption.

“It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” she said about starting a family. “I thought it would happen the way it does for everyone. But I’m in a much better place now and see it as a blessing that there are wonderful options available to me.”
