The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of new members of the Governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

They were Senator Bernard Oboatarhieyeren Okumagba, Senator Patrick Asiowieren, and Senator Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu.

It was said that the decision was made on Tuesday, following the screening of the nominees by the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, headed by Senator Amos Bulus Kwilangs.

The three nominees were cleared and recommended for appointment after the Senate considered the report.

In addition, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa has been reappointed as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).

Reports held that Dabiri-Erewa demonstrated her competence and dedication to the role.
