Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, has pleaded vehemently for the re-election of Kwara state governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman and Senators from the state elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Lawan, who was full of praise for Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman for changing the narratives in the state in terms of development, urged the people of Kwara State to consider the governor for another term to continue his good work, as well as the Senators from the state to return to the red chamber.
According to the President of the Senate, President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration was eager to develop Nigeria.

Lawan made the remarks on Saturday during a visit to Kwara State to witness the launch of Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar’s 2022 Empowerment Programme, who represents Kwara North.
The event was attended by the State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and was held at the Kwara State Polytechnic.
In a statement issued yesterday night by his Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi, Lawan stated that infrastructure projects were underway in virtually every part of the country, emphasizing that the synergy between the states and the federal government was yielding positive results.
“Development of any nation is not about the Federal government doing its beat,” said the Senate President.
It is about the federal government doing its own thing while collaborating with the state government, and even local governments, and that is what we are doing.”
Every single project of the Federal Government of Nigeria, whether it is a constituency project or a direct project from the Federal Government, is to complement what the state government is doing, and that partnership has been so fruitful that today, you have infrastructural development in every corner, in every part of Nigeria.”
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Federal Government is in a hurry. “We are eager to develop Nigeria.”
Nigeria would have been transformed into an infrastructure laboratory by 2023 because there is something going on in every part of the country, from the east to the west, from the north to the south.
“In the east, the second Niger bridge is currently 75 to 80 percent complete.
For the next 20 years, those people will go there, break ground, and then vanish.
“Another person would arrive, do the groundbreaking, and then vanish into thin air.”
President Muhammadu Buhari only laid the groundwork once, and it is now 75 percent complete.
That is how it is in every part of Nigeria. “As a result, the collaboration between our states and the federal government is working.
It is forcing Nigeria to build the infrastructure that we require. We’ve never seen anything like it from this administration.”
” The APC administration in this state has only been in place for two and a half years, but we know how far we have come in that time.”
Others had been here for 16 years. What you (Governor Abdulrazaq) have been able to accomplish in two and a half years can be compared favorably to what others have been unable to accomplish in sixteen years.
“No one should mislead you. Nobody should be able to perplex you. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq should be re-elected for a second term.
He’s already done so well in two and a half years.”
Lawan stated that Senator Sadiq Suleiman Umar’s Empowerment Programme would supplement the state government’s efforts.
The Senate President praised the Kwara North Senator for his commitment and dedication to work, as well as his quality representation of his people in the Senate.
Lawan stated that the people of Kwara had sent the best team to represent them in the Senate and urged them to support the re-election of their three senators to the National Assembly.
Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Senate Deputy Chief Whip), Bello Mandiya, Yakubu Oseni, Ibrahim Oloriegbe, Lola Ashiru, and Smart Adeyemi were among the six Senators accompanying the Senate President from Abuja.
