You are not back to Nigerian Senate because there is no Senate to return to. You are back to your coffin, but not as a zombie this time, you’re back there as a corpse.”

The sender further added,“Rot in hell, Wicked Bitch. You won’t reincarnate. I won’t let you.”

Return After Controversial Suspension

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan had just returned to the Senate on Tuesday, October 7, marking the end of a suspension that began in March 2025. Her suspension followed accusations of misconduct after she protested the reassignment of her seat and accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment.

During her suspension, her office was sealed, her security details withdrawn, and she was barred from participating in Senate activities. Upon her return, she was accompanied by civil rights activists, including Aisha Yesufu, and defiantly stated that she owed no apology for standing up to what she called a “dictatorial leadership.”

Trail of Threats and Attacks

The latest death threat is the newest in a string of alarming incidents targeting the senator and her family. In April 2025, heavily armed men attacked her family home in Obeiba-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State.

The assailants reportedly stormed the compound at night, firing shots and terrorising residents. Weeks later, another attack occurred in June, prompting a shootout between security operatives and gunmen, during which one suspect, Suberu Jose, was arrested and handed over to police authorities.

Despite the arrests, no official update has been made public regarding the investigation into these attacks.

Mounting Security Concerns

The series of threats and attacks have raised serious concerns about Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s safety, especially as she resumes legislative duties amid tense political undercurrents in Kogi State.
