Barcelona striker, Sergio Aguero was seen crying emotionally as he announced his retirement from active football on Wednesday, during a press conference.

The former Manchester City striker was diagnosed with a heart problem just a month ago.

Despite hopes that he’d be able to continue active football, the 33-year-old has now called it quit over the ailment.

“I have decided to stop playing professional football. It is a very hard moment but I am happy with my decision. My health comes first,” Aguero said Aguero.

The former Atletico Madrid forward enjoyed a successful decade at the Etihad Stadium with Manchester City before joining Barcelona at the end of last season.
