Seyi Awolowo, former Big Brother Naija reality star, expressed his view on gospel artists charging for performances at religious events.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, he stated that it’s acceptable for gospel artists to charge for their services and monetize their music. He emphasized that despite being gospel minstrels, they still have responsibilities to cater for.
Awolowo said, “If you got a talent, you gotta make your money. So because of religion someone shouldn’t get paid? We need to knock that mindset out. We literally need to take out that sentiment.
