Businesswoman and wife of billionaire industrialist Razak Okoya, Shade Okoya, has said she has never felt like she missed out on anything in life by marrying a much older man.
Shade, now 48, tied the knot with the Eleganza Group founder in 1999 at the age of 21. Her husband, Razak Okoya, is currently 85 years old.
Speaking in a recent interview with BBC Yoruba, the mother of four addressed those who question her decision to marry a man decades older than herself. She made it clear that her marriage has been fulfilling and that age has never been an issue.

“My husband has been very generous with me, and defends me anywhere. God said this is where I will be. We met each other, and he liked me and he did not waste time at all,” she said.
Expressing satisfaction with her marital journey, she added, “I’m happy in my marriage to him. He is far older than me but I don’t think I ever missed out on anything because I didn’t marry a younger man.”
Her remarks come amid ongoing public curiosity and conversations surrounding large age-gap marriages, especially among high-profile couples.
