An early morning rain in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, on Tuesday caused the roof of the National Assembly building to leak water, Daily Report Nigeria has learnt.
In a series of photographs that has since gone viral, the leaking roof also caused the water to splash to the lobby of NASS.
The photos depicted cleaners going through a hectic time in trying to scoop out the water from the lobby, in order to control it from flowing into the Chambers.

The development however, did not hinder Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President from presiding over the day’s plenary.
Recall that the leadership of NASS had approved a whooping N37bn for the renovation of the structure build almost three decades ago.
The proposal was greeted by heavy condemnation from the public, including Civil Society Organisations (CSOs).
