Nigerian singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, recently shared the unexpected reason she fell in love with her husband, singer Adekunle Gold. According to Simi, it was Adekunle’s graphic design and photoshopping skills that initially won her heart.
She revealed this on social media after Adekunle edited a water bottle out of a photo of Nigerian chess master Tunde Onakoya. Onakoya had requested the edit on X (formerly Twitter), and Adekunle stepped in to help.
Impressed by the result, the songstress reposted the edited photo and jokingly commented, “This was why I fell for you. I don’t know who sent you to start singing.”

Before his music career took off, Adekunle Gold was known for his remarkable photoshop skills and even designed the logo for Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation, where he later signed as an artist. The couple got married on January 9, 2019, in Lagos and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
