Singer Spyro Denies Refusal to Collaborate with Portable, Threatens Legal Action Against Bloggers

Spyro and Portable

Singer Spyro has vehemently refuted claims suggesting that he has no intention of collaborating with fellow musician Portable, going as far as threatening legal action against bloggers who propagated the misinformation.

This clarification came through a recent statement issued by Spyro’s management, TAP Music Entertainment Limited. According to the statement, Spyro participated in an interview with media personality Do2dtoun, during which he clarified that while he admires Portable’s talent, their musical styles are distinctly different, making collaboration challenging.

Unfortunately, certain media outlets misinterpreted Spyro’s remarks, falsely alleging that he disparaged Portable’s artistic abilities. In response, Spyro’s management team swiftly debunked these false claims and issued a stern warning to the bloggers responsible for spreading the misinformation.

In the statement, Spyro’s management set a seven-day ultimatum for the bloggers to retract their misleading reports or face legal repercussions. This firm stance underscores Spyro’s commitment to upholding the truth and defending his professional integrity against unwarranted attacks.

“As a team, we wish to use this medium to unequivocally state that at no time did Spyro outrightly state that he would not feature Portable or ever state that Portable is not a good artiste. Spyro, had in actual fact, given multiple accolades to the ingenuity of Portable in the full-on thirty minutes’ interview session.

“It is no gainsaying to state that Spyro’s predominant music genres are Afropop and R&B while Portable performs street-hop. Hence, it was not out of place, during the said interview session, for Spyro to have mentioned that he does not envisage writing a song for Portable. As simple and as evident as this is, it has come to our attention that some Nigerian fans and netizens, bloggers (such as the “Wahalanetwork”), have taken it upon themselves to misrepresent the facts and to publish defamatory statements in order to bring to disrepute the name, image and brand of Spyro.
