Sit-at-Home: Senate Demands Simon Ekpa’s Extradition From Finland | Daily Report Nigeria

The Senate on Wednesday asked the Federal Government to collaborate with the Finish government to extradite Simon Ekpa, the self-acclaimed disciple of detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu for prosecution.

The extradition request by the Senate follows Ekpa’s order for his loyalists to enforce the sit-at-home, which is crippling economic activities in the South-East.

At the plenary in Abuja, on Wednesday, the Senate condemned the sit-at-home and asked the government to ensure that Ekpa was brought back to the country.

The upper legislative chamber also rejected a recommendation for Kanu’s release, saying it would amount to subjudice as the matter was still in court.
