In a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, hosted by reality star Tacha, Nigerian singer Slimcase, aka Oluwafemi Oladapo, shared his perspective on Burna Boy’s career.

He expressed that despite Burna Boy’s decade-long presence in the music industry, he still feels like a new artist to him due to the freshness and uniqueness of his sound.

“The top five artists I am feeling right now, Burna Boy is number one. He is still a new artist. He is always new to me everyday.

“I am also feeling Wizkid Chan, Omah Lay, Wizkid, and Baddest [Davido].”

This statement echoes similar sentiments expressed by Davido last year when he grouped Burna Boy with emerging talents like Rema, Asake, Fireboy, and Omah Lay, sparking controversy within the industry.
