Muinat, the aunt of the young girl, Sofiat Kehinde, who was beheaded by four young boys, has spoken with newsmen in Abeokuta.
She said that the four young boys who killed Sofiat for the money-ritual are allegedly residents of the community. And that she knew the alleged boyfriend who led the criminal act.
She said; “Sofiat (she) attended the same Islamic school with the boyfriend who macheted her.”

The aunt of the deceased further said that the day the incident happened, Sofiat left home without the knowledge of family members.
Muinat also noted that she called Sofiat that evening and the last thing she heard from 22-year-old Sofiat was that she will be home as soon as possible.
After a while, she called again but the mobile number of the deceased appeared unreachable. She reported to the nearest police station and gave the officer the picture of the missing girl.
Upon being provided the picture, news came to the family members that their daughter’s head was cut off for a money ritual by some young men, alongside her boyfriend, Mustekeem.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased is still deterred over the demise of their daughter thus they seek justice to thwart future occurrence.
