Soldier Kills Revenue Collector in Anambra

A revenue collector has been reportedly shot dead by a trigger-happy operative of the Nigerian Army.

The sad incident occurred on Thursday at a checkpoint on the Onitsha Head Bridge, Anambra State.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that the soldier fired a shot in the air in other to scare motorists from plying one way and unfortunately it landed on the revenue collector.

According to an eyewitness, the soldiers were pursuing and smashing the mirrors of commercial drivers who were plying one-way on the bridge when the incident happened.

More soldiers were redeployed as traders in the area tried to attack the soldier involved in the sad incident.

The Nigerian Army is yet to react to the incident as of press time.
