Odimodi community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, has reaffirmed Comrade Solomon Gbegha as its authentic chairman.
The affirmation follows the citation of one Chief Edward Perebo as Odimodi community chairman in a publication on social media.
Disassociating itself from the said publication, the community urged the general public to treat the report with no iota of seriousness, terming it as misleading.

Speaking with our correspondent at the conclusion of an emergency meeting on Tuesday, Comrade Dere Podoki, the Public Relations Office of Odimodi community, labeled the report as the handiwork of mischief makers.
He said Gbegha remains the only chairman of the community and warned mischief makers to refrain from causing unrest.
“Solomon Ghegha was duly elected by Odimodi people in an electioneering process monitored by government officials and security operatives.
“His inauguration was well attended by dignitaries cutting across the State Government, the Burutu Council leadership, traditional rulers and important personalities across the state.
“He remains the only Chairman in Odimodi and will remain so for the next two years. Anything contrary to this is false and misleading, and is purely the work of mischief makers,” Podoki said.
Daily Report recalls that the Solomon Gbegha executives were inaugurated at the Eluwe town hall in Odimodi on June 30, 2022.
The inauguration was followed by a grand reception on July 9, 2022.
