Among the councils already declared are Dunukofia, Njikoka, Ogbaru, Awka North, Awka South, Orumba North, Orumba South, Aguata, and Ekwusigo. Others include Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Anaocha, Idemili North, Idemili South, Onitsha North, Onitsha South, Oyi, Ayamelum, and Anambra East.

There are 21 local government areas in total, with only Ihiala and Anambra West yet to be declared.

INEC officials announced a one-hour break to reconvene at 6 a.m. for the continuation of the final collation process.

Political observers say Soludo’s sweeping victory across the 19 LGAs reflects APGA’s entrenched grassroots network and the governor’s popularity among local communities, particularly in the central and southern parts of the state.

The final declaration of results is expected once the remaining two LGAs are announced.
