Somalia Ban TikTok, Telegram, 1xBet

East African country, Somalia has banned Tiktok, Telegram, and the betting website, 1XBet.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Somalia announced the ban through its Minister of Communications, Jama Hassan Khalif.

Khalif stated that 1XBet, Tiktok, and Telegram platforms were responsible for indecent content and aiding terrorists in spreading “horrific” messages to the public.

In a press release, Khalif ordered internet companies to cease the use of these applications, which he claimed were being used by immoral groups to disseminate constant images of horror and misinformation.

Somalia’s decision came in the wake of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s announcement of a military offensive against the terrorist group al Shabaab, to eliminate them within the next five months.

Meanwhile, the Tiktok app, owned by Chinese company Bytedance, has received several restrictions

A few days ago some federal agencies in the United States, US banned the use of the app on government-issued devices.

According to checks, the state of Montana has issued a complete ban for both government workers and residents.

New Zealand, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Denmark, and many others have also issued bans to restrict the app on government-owned devices.
