Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a man for murder in the state.

The suspect claimed to have committed the crime after finding his mother being assaulted by the victim.

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one Daniel Onyejekwe, a 30-years-old man for murder.
The suspect is alleged to have stabbed one Christian Goodluck with a broken bottle on New Year’s Day.
This happened in Sapele area of Delta state.

Confirming the arrest, the state police command spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe said Goodluck had claimed to have caught Christian assaulting his mother, an act which didn’t sit well with him.
They had an heated altercation, which got physical and both men began fighting with a broken bottle.
The statement reads;
“In this year 2025, please control your temper. The best suspect, Daniel Onyejekwe, aged 30, in Sapele, m8rdered one Christian Goodluck on 1/1/2025,”
“The suspect claimed that he met the deceased quarrelling with and assaulting his mother.

“He and the deceased fought using a broken bottle.
“He stabbed the deceased with the broken bottle, which later led to his d3ath. What a way to start the new year.”

Seven workers at a construction site have sustained varying degrees of injuries, following the collapse of a 3-storey building.
It was gathered that although no life was lost, two of the workers jumped off the building, while the remaining seven were affected by the collapse.
