  • A faction of Ohanaeze Ndigbo has alleged a political conspiracy against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

  • According to Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the plot spans across Nigeria’s political, religious, and ethnic divides.

  • Isiguzoro claims that these governors aim to draft disillusioned Nigerians, especially the Igbo populace.

A faction of the apex Igbo Sociocultural Organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has made a startling claim of a political conspiracy aimed at thwarting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

The alleged plot involves governors Fubara and Uzodinma, as well as other Southeast governors.

According to Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Deputy President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the plot spans across Nigeria’s multifaceted political, religious, and ethnic divides.

Isiguzoro stated that the collective intent is to capitalize on current economic hardships, pervasive insecurity, and the perceived insensitivity of the Federal Government.

Isiguzoro asserted that these governors harbor ulterior motives to draft disillusioned Nigerians—especially the Igbo populace—into their planned political revolutionary movements.

He claimed that their schemes are designed to cultivate a narrative of dissent that vilifies President Tinubu while positioning themselves as agents of change, cloaked in the guise of concern for the nation’s welfare.

Simon Ekpa’s Arrest Reduces Tension in Southeast – Chief of Defence Staff

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has disclosed that the arrest of Finland-based Biafra agitator, Simon Ekpa, has greatly reduced tension in the Southeast.

Musa made this known while appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Defence to defend the 2025 budget on Tuesday.
