Video: Sowore Challenges Shettima Over Tinubu’s Absence At Peace Accord Signing

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday confronted the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima for representing the party‘s flag bearer Bola Tinubu, who was clearly missing during a “Peace Accord” signing ahead of the 2023 election.

Shettima had represented Tinubu at the occasion, which was organised by the National Peace Committee.

Candidates in attendance at the signing were Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) amongst others.

In a video captured by newsmen, Sowore was seen confronting Shettima for taking Tinubu’s place at the Presidential “Peace Accord” signing in Abuja.

The AAC flag bearer stated that he confronted the APC vice presidential candidate to know he was seated in the place of its presidential candidate despite his absence from the peace accord signing.

He further argued that the seat was originally reserved for presidential candidates and not for VPs, saying he wouldn’t stand up for Shettima if he was already on it.

Not only that, Sowore also challenged another presidential candidate at the event, an ex-Chief Security Officer to the late head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Hamza al-Mustapha.
