Sports Minister John Enoh Addresses Victor Osimhen Disrespect Towards Finidi George

Victor Osimhen's Super Eagles failed to qualify for the World Cup

Nigeria’s Sports Minister, John Enoh, has weighed in on the recent controversy involving Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. Osimhen made disrespectful comments about former Super Eagles head coach Finidi George on social media.

Enoh disclosed that he instructed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) not to make any public statements about the issue until they had engaged with Osimhen directly.

“There has been a plethora of opinions on this,” Enoh said on Eagle7 FM Radio. “Osimhen is a Trojan for Nigeria, but it was a low point. I told the NFF not to make a pronouncement on this before they have engaged Osimhen. This is especially important as these are not the best of times for Nigerian football, and we need to manage a lot of things carefully. The NFF must stay focused and avoid distractions.”
