A deadly suicide bomb attack rocked a busy fish market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday night, claiming at least 10 lives and leaving seven others seriously injured.
According to security sources and eyewitness accounts, the suspected Boko Haram bomber infiltrated the market in disguise before detonating an improvised explosive device among traders and customers.
The explosion killed the attacker and 10 others instantly. Seven other victims sustained various degrees of injuries and were promptly evacuated by emergency response teams to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

Nigerian Army personnel, along with other security operatives, quickly sealed off the area to prevent any further attack by suspected insurgents who may have infiltrated the town.

Military patrols were intensified in and around Konduga following the blast, which marks a resurgence of suicide attacks in the region long troubled by Boko Haram insurgency.
Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious persons or movements to security agencies as investigations continue into the incident.
