Sports Minister John Enoh has announced that a new head coach for the Super Eagles will be appointed before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers begin next month. The role has been vacant since Finidi George resigned in June.
The Super Eagles are set to face Benin Republic and Rwanda in their first two matches of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in September.
The three-time African champions will play against the Cheetahs on Saturday, September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. Three days later, they will travel to Kigali to take on the Amavubi at the Amahoro Stadium.
