Super Eagles

Super Eagles will enter Friday’s 2026 World Cup qualifier in fourth place in Group C.

This follows Benin Republic’s 1-0 victory over Rwanda on Thursday, with Douko Dodo scoring the decisive goal in the 37th minute for Gernot Rohr’s team.

This win, Benin’s first in the qualifying campaign, snapped an eight-game winless streak (four defeats and four draws). The victory moves Benin from the bottom to second place with four points, while Rwanda, also with four points, remains in first position.
