Super Falcons Star Christy Ucheibe Named in Portuguese Women’s League Team of the Season

Super Falcons midfielder Christy Ucheibe has been named in the Portuguese Women’s League Team of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign.

Ucheibe was instrumental in Benfica’s successful season, helping the team secure all four domestic titles, including the Campeonato Nacional, Taça de Portugal, Taça da Liga, and Campeonato Nacional II Divisão.

Alongside Ucheibe, six other Benfica players were also selected for the prestigious team: Lúcia Alves, Andreia Faria, Beatriz Cameirão, Andreia Norton, and Kika Nazareth.

Christy Ucheibe expressed her gratitude on social media, writing, “BEST 11 BPI LEAGUE 2023/2024 PORTUGAL! ALL GLORY TO GOD. THANK YOU BENFICA ❤️,” on her X account.
