Suspected Organ Dealer Case Transferred to Abuja - Police | Daily Report Nigeria

The Abia State Police Command has announced that the case involving suspected organ dealer Andrew Amaechi is no longer under their jurisdiction.

Amaechi was arrested on May 8 in Aba, Abia State, in connection to the disappearance of two friends, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh.

Reports emerged that Amaechi was killed while in police custody, allegedly during a botched escape attempt while being transferred to Abuja.

However, the police command’s spokesperson, Maureen Chinaka, clarified that the suspect was transferred to Abuja after his arrest and the case was subsequently moved to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) at the Force headquarters on May 21.

Chinaka stated that Police Command has declined to provide further details on the case, citing that it is no longer under their purview.

Meanwhile, the investigation is ongoing, and the public awaits updates on the whereabouts of
Ndudim and Tandoh and the outcome of the case against Amaechi.
