A suspected ritualist has reportedly beheaded a lady in a hotel in Adamawa State, according to police.
The police confirmed the killing of a young woman in her early 20s (name withheld) in a statement on Friday.
According to SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the spokesperson for the command, the incident was confirmed in Yola, the state’s capital.
Nguroje states that the ritualist who lodged the deceased in the hotel had sexual intercourse with her before beheading her and leaving with her head.

The receptionist and other staff discovered the headless corpse of the young lady in a pool of her blood after waiting for a long period without the ritualist returning to the hotel.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, strongly condemned the act and ordered an immediate investigation into the matter to apprehend the perpetrator.
Babatola cautioned hoteliers to report people of questionable character to the police for immediate action.
He vowed to apprehend the suspect while reiterating the Command’s commitment to ensuring the protection of lives and property of people.
He added that the top management of security agencies in the state is putting heads together to arrest the suspect.
