On Saturday, assailants carried out a deadly attack in Plateau State, resulting in the tragic loss of Sylvanus Namang, the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and another individual.
According to reliable sources, the incident unfolded at a relaxation center in Pankshin, within the Pankshin Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
Under the cover of darkness, the gunmen stormed the venue and fired at close range, fatally Namang.
Reports stated that the assailants also abducted the second victim, whose lifeless body was later discovered along a nearby road.

As investigations continue, the Plateau State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Alfred Alabo, was unable to provide immediate information due to a prior engagement.
The late APC Spokesman, who initially worked as a journalist, later assumed the role of General Manager at the Plateau State Publishing Company.
Meanwhile, the motive behind his gruesome murder remains unclear.
