“Our son and brother, Sylvester Oromoni who hails from Ogbe-Joh, Warri South west LGA of Delta State, and by contingency of human crave for knowledge happened to seek standard education at Dowen College in Lagos State, has been unconditionally murdered by some of his school mates upon his refusal to join them in a group they claim to belong.

“Aside from the fact that we are aggrieved with the news of our son and brother, late Sylvester Oromoni’s unnatural death “murder”, we expresses our vexation to the school authority, and hereby give the Lagos State government and the school authority 14 days ultimatum to provide the culprits to face the law.

“We the Ijaws are peace loving ethnicity but in a situation where our toes are stepped on by anyone then all hell may loose, our peacefulness should never be taking for granted, we have never and will never encourage any one from other ethnic group or tribes to be treated in this manner in our axis, therefore our own should not be a victim of such ill circumstance.

“Consequently, if the Lagos State Government and Dewon college takes this message unserous thereby refusing to expose the killers of our son within the giving 14 days ultimatum then they should expect from us every form of fury and vehemence.“We therefore send our condolences to the family of Sylvester Oromoni, prays God strengthen them in this time of trial.

“Furthermore, we employ this medium to call on all well meaning sons and daughters of ijaw Nation, leaders, traditional rulers, representatives, INC, IYC etc.. to rise and treat this plight with all seriousness in other to confer justice to the family of the deceased and Ijaw Nation at large.
