According to a recent report by SkySports, the Nigerian international boasts an impressive 28.6% shot conversion rate, outperforming renowned players like Manchester City’s Haaland (26.1%), Hee-Chan Hwang (24.1%), Callum Wilson (24%), Diogo Jota (22.5%), and Ivan Toney (21.4%).
Despite facing injury setbacks that caused him to miss 12 games for Nottingham Forest recently, Awoniyi has shown resilience on his return to action. He has netted two goals in his last five outings for the Reds, including a crucial goal in their 2-0 victory against West Ham United, which helped them climb out of the relegation zone.
Although he missed out on representing Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations despite being named in the provisional squad, Awoniyi’s stellar performance in the Premier League highlights his immense talent and potential on the field.
