Tantita Deserves Commendation, Not Castigation - Oluku | Daily Report Nigeria

A community leader, Comrade Oluku Humphrey, has lined up Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for commendation.

Oluku, who is the Secretary of the oil-rich Ogulagha community, emphasized that Tantita deserves the best of commendations and not castigation from its mandate areas.

The politician cum community leader said this in reaction to the recent calls on the Federal Government to retrieve its ongoing pipeline surveillance contract from Tantita.

Addressing newsmen in Warri on Monday, Oluku said such calls are ill-thoughts that were not borne from a place of patriotism and regional development in mind.

Using the positive impacts Tantita’s operations have yielded in its mandate areas, particularly on the waterways, Oluku called on relevant stakeholders to rally appropriate collaborative measures with the company for the greater good of the region.

“Tantita’s efforts have overtime yielded results too obvious for anybody in the Niger Delta to ignore,” he stressed.

“The waterways are free from hydrocarbon presence, the air is cleaner, aquatic life is bouncing back, and incessant leaks from sabotage are reduced to the lowest minimum, incessant pollution on both riverine and land areas has drastically reduced.

“Daily crude production has increased and resulted in more volume for export, youth employment and empowerment, Corporate Social Responsibilities delivery is on an unprecedented level. What is left to ask for?”Oluku quizzed.

“It is only fair that all critical stakeholders in our region rally behind the company and provide the needed collaborative support for peaceful and result oriented service delivery at this time,” he said.

Oluku called on all stakeholders to “join hands with Tantita to get rid of all illegal bunkering activities to save our environment and biodiversity.”

He further charged the management of Tantita to remain focused and not derail from its core mandate to sustain the fight against oil theft, illegal bunkering, and environmental degradation.
