List of Nigerian pastors Who Have died in 2021
Death is no respecter of persons and such is the scenario that has played out in Nigeria, with even the high and mighty of society gets snatch away.
Religion and spiritual leaders have not been spared in the swoop by death between January – June in the most populous black nation in the world.
Below is a list of popular clergymen that have died in 2021, between January and June.
1. Apostle Moses Grandeur
Delta State born Urhobo preacher and the General Overseer of the Victory Family Assembly a.k.a VIFA, Apostle Moses N. Grandeur, in February, 2021.
Grandeur died on Friday February 26, after he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
He is survived by a wife, Bishop (Mrs.) Angel Grandeur and four children.
2. Archbishop Caleb Anny Maduoma
In May, Archbishop Caleb Anny Maduoma, Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province Anglican Communion and Bishop of Ideato Diocese died in his sleep.
3. Pastor Charles Osueke
Former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, the Rev. Dr Charles Osueke also died in May..
The late General Superintendent who led the church for 22 years as GS before his retirement in November 2010, died after being discharged from a hospital.
He died aged 79.
4. Pastor Dare Adeboye
Pastor Dare Adeboye, the third child of Pastor E.A Adeboye also died in his sleep after leading church program the previous day.
Dare was the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, Eket, Akwa Ibom state. He died aged 42.
5. Pastor Emmanuel Abina
Pastor Emmanuel Abina, the son of the General Overseer of The Gospel Faith Mission International, Dr. Elijah Abina, passed on to glory after a brief illness.
Emmanuel was the pastor in charge of the Kingdom House Aseembly of the Church situated in Festac Town, Lagos State. He died aged 53
6. Prophet TB Joshua
Prophet Temitope Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, died on June 5 2021 after a church church program.
He’s said to have died after a brief illness that lasted just two days. He died aged 57, six days short of his 58th birthday.
7. Rev Stephen Akinola
Rev Stephen Akinola of Redemption Ministries, Port Harcourt died on June 6, 2021 while undergoing a second kidney transplant in Abuja.
In a related news, Sierra Leonean preacher, Pastor Issa Turay died on Sunday June 6, 2021.
Issa Turay was the Senior Pastor of The Faith Assembly of God Church, Brookfield Freetown.
The revered preacher died in Freetown after a short attack requiring oxygen in the hospital.
