National Sports Festival: Team Ogun goes berserk after defeat in boxing, attack ref
Officials, boxers and supports of Team Ogun at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Edo state went berserk on Tuesday after a decision by a referee during a boxing match went against them.
After the fight between Lagos boxer, Shittu Afolabi, and Ogun boxer, Kasali Abayomi in the 52kg category, the referee adjudged the fight in a 3-2 split decision in favour of the Lagos boxer.
The decision was not accepted by Team Ogun as officials, supporters and members of the boxing crew descended on the referees and other officials, throwing chairs, tables and other dangerous weapons even with the Ogun State Commissioner for Sports seated as one of the special guests.

The Oba Okenzua Cultural Centre in Benin which hosted the event was thrown into chaos following the uproar.
