- In a separate Ogun crash, a pregnant woman was killed when a car rammed into a tricycle along the Sagamu Expressway.
Four persons, including a teenager, lost their lives in a fatal Ogun crash when a minibus rammed into a broken-down truck along the Alagbon-Owode-Atan Road. The tragic incident also left three others injured, sparking renewed concern about road safety in the state.
The accident occurred when a white Suzuki minibus with registration number KTU 874 YJ crashed into a stationary Sinotruck with no plate number at Alagbon, along the Owode-Atan Road in Ogun State.

According to the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, a total of 11 people were involved in the crash, two males and nine females. He confirmed that four victims, including a teenage passenger, died instantly, while three others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Akinbiyi blamed both drivers for the accident, explaining that the bus driver was speeding and failed to notice the truck that had broken down without any caution sign placed on the road. “The crash could have been avoided if the truck driver had posted a warning triangle,” he said.
He disclosed that officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) had already moved the injured victims to the General Hospital, Idi-Iroko, before TRACE officials arrived at the scene. The vehicles involved were later towed away, and normal traffic flow was restored.
In a separate incident also in Ogun State, a pregnant woman was killed in another fatal crash along the Sagamu Expressway. The accident, which involved a payloader, a Toyota Camry with registration number AAB-248 MK, and a commercial tricycle marked JGB-643 VD, left several others injured.

Confirming the second crash, Akinbiyi said the Camry driver lost control of the vehicle, veered off his lane, and rammed into the tricycle, killing the pregnant woman instantly. The payloader operator and other passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals by good Samaritans, while the deceased was deposited in a mortuary.
The TRACE spokesperson urged motorists to exercise caution, maintain moderate speed, and always use caution signs to prevent avoidable loss of lives on Ogun roads.
