Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has addressed rumors suggesting she was pregnant by American rapper Future.
Speculation arose after she was seen at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 London Fashion Week show last December, wearing a black dress with a purple fluffy coat and matching heels. Many believed the way the dress fit implied she was expecting.
During a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Tems expressed her confusion over why Future was the one people believed was responsible for her alleged pregnancy. She found it odd that the rumor targeted him and not other artists she had worked with.

She said, “People just take the most controversial things. I was thinking, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest. Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it was Drake, it would be the same thing, but it’s Future because of his reputation. He has about five kids and is known for being a ladies’ man.”
Tems also shared the names of the top rap artists who have inspired her, mentioning Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Ab-Soul, Andre 3000, and J. Cole.
She collaborated with Drake on his 2021 album “Certified Lover Boy” and J. Cole was one of the few featured artists on her debut album, “Born In The Wild,” released this year.
