Tenant Remanded for Beating Up Landlord in Abuja | Daily Report Nigeria

A tenant simply identified as Chris Okoye has been ordered by a Kabusa Grade I Area Court in Abuja to be remanded for beating up his landlord.

Okoye is a resident at 2A Niger avenue villa nova, Apo area of the city.

He is faced with charges of criminal conspiracy, intimidation, force, assault, and causing hurt.

Despite the charges, the 44-year-old defendant pleaded not guilty.

The landlord, Mr Ochengele Isaac reported the incident at the Apo Police Station on January 3.

According to Isaac, the defendant, along with his two children and one Gideon who is now at large, attacked and injured him.

The case, however, has been adjourned until January 16 for further proceedings.
